Welcome to the United Mountain Horse
Nominated Breeder's Cup Stallions Page!

The United Mountain Horse, Inc/ American Gaited Breeders’ Cup is a competition designed to reward and publicize producing Mountain Horse stallions through the achievements of their get. Get includes weanlings and yearlings in hand and two year old horses in hand and under saddle.

A nomination fee creates an incentive fund whose dividends are paid to winning get and its sire’s owner. Only nominated stallions may be advertised as a Breeder’s Cup Stallion and participate in the competition. Stallions and get must be nominated by July 14, 2007 to participate in the 2007 Breeders’ Cup classes held at the United Mountain Horse, Inc World Championship Show in Harrodsburg, KY, August 13-18. A stallion may be nominated by the owner or by the get owner.
The 2007 Breeders’ Cup classes will be a separate show from the World Show classes and will be judged by a separate judge. All class nomination and entry fees will be divided among the top six ties with 10% of the total going to the owner or to person nominating the stallion. There is a guaranteed minimum payback of $750 per class.

A Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to the Sire whose get receive the highest number of points received by placement during the 2007 Breeders’ Cup classes.

In addition, there is a Kentucky-bred Incentive Fund award funded by the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority, which dividends are paid to Kentucky breeders of Mountain Horses. To be Kentucky-bred, the horse must be bred or foaled in Kentucky.
